You know what goes perfectly with that furniture? A new pet. That's what IKEA is betting on in Tempe, Arizona. The store recently teamed up with the Arizona Humane Society to feature six life-sized cardboard cutouts of adoption-ready dogs and cats in their display rooms. And guess what? All six animals have since found homes.

The brilliant idea came out of Singapore, where the collection of pet adoption agencies, Home for Hope, partnered with IKEA Signapore to implement this program. Each pet cutout features a scannable barcode so customers can easily get more information about each animal featured.

Want to picture a pet in your home? More needy pets hit the showroom floor at IKEA Tempe on July 29.
