Wanted: Saturated Colors To Conquer Cloudy Skies

There is nothing so boring as to talk about the weather. But when you live with grey skies nine months out of the year you tend to talk about it. A lot. The one thing that the Northwest could use right now is a giant dose of color to make us forget about the clouds. And this online resource is a great place to start.

Here is a store that is full of saturated colors. Rice, based in Denmark, offers a fantastic line of brilliant home d├ęcor. Rice was started by a well-traveled couple in 1998. Their products are designed and developed in Denmark and produced by people in the Third World (like Thailand and Madagascar). Rice is SA8000 Certified (meaning they are guaranteeing their commitment to behave in a socially responsible manner) and support the Global Compact (wherein businesses commit themselves to eliminate starvation and poverty).

Their product line encompasses textiles, kitchen ware, flooring, children's products and melamine. You may order their products online as well as see the items in person.
