Baby, it's cold outside and there's nothing more inviting than a nice warm space to come home to. Warm and inviting can mean different things to different people — but to me, it's a comfortable and welcoming space with a place to kick up your feet.
Warm colors play a huge role in making a space an inviting one. It seems like orange, red, blue and whites are common colors in these type of spaces and that's a-okay with me! Those colors paired with fluffy pillows and warm woods — you're well on your way!

Shaw's Original Fir...
#1 That's the coolest piece of furniture I've ever seen in a landing strip. OMG, this is SO functional. Room underneath for tall boots and it's just the right depth. Huge vintage appeal.
Correction: #3 photo.
#3 photo The most functional piece of furniture I've ever seen in an entryway. Twenty four cubbies for ourselves and guests with room for tall boots beneath? OMG. The chair's cute, too, but it's the vintage wooden storage unit I'm drooling over.
Okay, what just happened here? I went back to check my first two posts, they weren't there, so re-entered. Now they're all there. Well, you get the idea.
I am obsessed x4!! They are all so refreshing and inviting. I'm digging the color of the walls in photo 5
#5 actually looks a bit cluttered and claustrophobic to me -- the combination of the zebra skin rug on top of an oriental rug, then reflected back by the shiny coffee tables. Also, it feels like there are too many chairs in that room, but maybe it's just me ;)
Does anyone know where that wall sconce above the bed is from on photo #2?
@ compassja, George Nelson's wall sconce
That first photo makes me feel good. Don't know why, it just does.
i so need to hop along to Ikea to get a few sheepskins to throw all over stuff in my house. boy does that warm it up!
