Warm Welcome: Red Entryways

You know what I love? Stepping into a home and immediately being immersed in richness and warmth. I feel my home lacks that feeling and lately I've been brainstorming ways to change that. One idea: Warm things up by bringing red into the entryway!

This applies for any period and style of home, too. (Contemporary houses, we're talking to you. You don't get a free pass to Blandsville just because of your vintage. When you're warm, you're especially striking because it's so unexpected!). Can't paint? Try a red piece of furniture as in the last photo above!

What do you think of these red entryways? Is it welcoming to you or does it just bowl you over?
