Washing machines are necessary in almost every home. They are unlike dishwashers, since you can scrub your dishes with your hands. However, washing clothes can get tedious if you continually do handwashing. These washing machines include two that are from Turkey, which is surprising. Hit or miss? Read on to find out more!

These two new washing machines are made by a Turkish company named Vestel. The Aramides comes with a matte stainless steel frame around a darkened viewing window, which is definitely an interesting addition. There is an illuminated LCD panel to allow you to control the machine. The front is about 3 feet wide, so it will allow you to load the machine easily. Interestingly enough, there's a 12-minute high-speed wash cycle when you need your clothes washed in a jiffy. The Lissotis has a shiny black body and a stainless steel tumbler. It's more minimal than the Aramides, but has most of the same features.

The Frigidaire Affinity front loading washers recently took four of the five top spots in the EPA and U.S. DoE Energy Star efficiency rankings. Now that's impressive. This was also reported by Inside Consumer Reports. This means that these are very energy-efficient appliances. These new versions will use 155% less energy and 63% less water than appliances from just ten years ago.

With Frigidaire Affinity, wash time equals dry time - so you don't wait for clothes to dry.

Here are some of the numbers: you can save up to 7,000 gallons of water and $149 every year by using one of these washing machines. That's enough water to take 3,000 showers every year (!). The Energy Saver option further reduces the overall energy use by up to 60%. Frigidaire Affinity are available at Best Buy, Sears, Lowe's, and other retailers. They start at $650 and go up to $1,220.
