Water Fun from HearthSong

With mid-July lurking around our shoulder, we think of all the truly hot days yet to come. What better way for the kids to cool down than with some of these great water toys available at HearthSong? They have a nice selection to suit whatever your outdoor space situation may be -- whether you have a backyard, deck or if you just want to have some fun at your local park.

Their Super Water Slide, $69.98, conjures up memories of the original Slip N' Slide. We hope that with today's constant pursuit for advanced scientific knowledge, the painful Slip N' Slide belly and knee road rash is a thing of the past. (Oh, we certainly had a price to pay for our fun when we were kids.)

For those of us who may not have enough space for a Super Water Slide, you can always try their Aqua Blast Volleyball bar, $12.98, which shoots water creating a volleyball "net." If your child isn't the volleyball type, they can always practice their limbo skills -- just have them wear nose plugs!

The Geyser Ball and Bat, $11.98, has such an easy concept, you'll wonder why you didn't think of it yourself. Simply submerse the foam ball in water and then get ready to play. Every hit guarantees to cool off the batter with a big splash of water being released from the foamy ball sponge.

Finally, you can cool off with a game of Hot Potato using the Splashy Catch device, $12.98. Insert a water balloon, set the timer and pass it around. Will it get you or your kids all wet?
