Waterdog Turns Any Spiget into an Automatic Pet Fountain

We all know how thirsty dogs can get running around and exploring the yard. Sure a big bowl of water will probably keep your pup quenched, but that water can get pretty gnarly by the end of the day with dirt, leaves, and bugs. While it may not be warm enough in some parts of the country for this doodad, for those of you with pups, this may be a good thing to put on your list of summer yard upgrades.

The Waterdog Automatic Pet Fountain attaches to your outdoor spiget and uses a three foot proximity sensor to know when your thirsty dog is waiting for a cool splash of water. When it senses movement within its three foot radius, it turns on the faucet and lets out a steady stream of water straight to your pup's thirsty muzzle. Works with four C batteries that last a year and can be had for $80 via Frontgate. If you're worried about losing your one outdoor faucet don't worry as this gadget includes a flow-through connector to simultaneously screw on your garden hose.

Place some potted plants underneath to catch any water that isn't lapped up.
