Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker: Rock Out While You Wakeboard

Seeing as June is Great Outdoors month, you'll be seeing alot more "fun in the sun" products from all of us here at Unplggd. If you're planning a pool party this summer, you might want to check out this cute little speaker ball (similar to Aqua Sounders, but much cheaper) that lets you connect to your iPhone or similar cell phone via Bluetooth A2DP to stream MP3 music while you splish-splash around in your backyard pool. Or, you could be like the adventurous feller above and take it to the beach, where the Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker will most likely become the life of the party - at least, that's how fun their advertising shots sure make it out to be...

The operation range for these guys are 10 meters, so it's not too bad if you're looking to stick around in a small area. Trying to get it to play "Paradise City" while hitting the waves might be pushing your luck though.

Music will be interrupted when a call comes into your phone, but you cannot speak or listen to phone calls with the speaker itself. Which kind of blows given it's utilizing the latest and greatnesss Bluetooth protocols - it wouldn't have hurt to toss in a way to chat while you're doing backstrokes in the pool.

You can grab the Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker directly from the manufacturer for $40. About $100 less than the Aqua Soonders, though the other set does come provided with a dedicated docking station w/ iPod support.
