You may notice this conference table is equipped with pedals. This table is called "WeBike" a new invention from WeWatt to encourage people to exercise daily - especially at work and during meetings.
WeBike is a combined table and seat unit equipped with pedals that allow those who are sitting at the table to pedal as if they are riding a bicycle. The energy gathered from the pedaling is then used to charge devices such as laptops and cell phones that would naturally be present during an office meeting. It's killing two birds with one stone!
There are two different arrangements based on the type of work interaction needed. The straight arrangement is similar to booth seating where up to six people can sit side by side and do work. For more collaborative work settings, the snake arrangement allows for more conversation and people to face each other as they sit.

WeBike is partly made out of recycled waste materials. The seats are made of waste leather and the wood comes from waste cedar. The body is composed of aluminum and steel. Each table is equipped with built-in WiFi and 110 Volt output.
In order to know how much energy each seated person has generated from pedaling, there's an interactive LED display that keeps track of how much AC power has been generated.

I would love to see these in an airport to charge up during layovers. It would be such a great stretch after sitting on a plane for hours and a great way to burn off airport food.
@fancyd --GREAT idea! This is really cool.
Wow!!! Would love to see every TV equipped with this for all those Couch Potatoes and chubby little Couch Spuds, out there! Put those kids to work if they want to earn TV/video game/movie time!!! I'd use this myself! Love it!
