Day 22: Friday, January 31
Assignment: Enjoy your first weekend in your "Cured" home
The January Cure is just coming to an end and, honestly, I'm already missing it. My work on Cure is one of the best parts of my job, thanks to all of you. I'm so inspired by all the positivity, support and energy and awed by the amazing amount of work you've put into your homes on top of already busy lives. So, in addition to my hearty congratulations to you on sticking with the Cure, I'd like to say a sincere thank you. And now, it's time to put away the vacuum, ignore the outbox and just relax and enjoy your successes. It's time to celebrate.
• You've got your first full weekend off in a month - relax and celebrate!
Before we all get caught up in our busy lives again, please take a moment or two to stop, look around and appreciate the effort you put into your home in the past month. Yes, there will always be more to do, but it's important to pause and just appreciate where you are at and see how far you've come before moving on. As Maxwell often says, nothing you ever do for your home is wasted. I'm sure, in lots of ways, big and small, your home is a better place than it was a month ago, thanks to YOU.
For those of you hosting a Cure-end gathering, I hope it's a wonderful way to wrap up this experience and that you and your fellow-gatherers have fun!
And MOST IMPORTANTLY, no matter how many (or how few) of the assignments you were able to tackle this month, my hope is that it was worthwhile and that your home is a little bit closer to the place you want it to be. You know you can do it and you have your wish list of what has to happen - and it can, one step at a time. The January Cure is over but you've got all the time in the world to make your home a wonderful place. Now, enjoy the rest of 2014 and keep up the good work!
