With Mother's Day just around the corner and so many gorgeous spring flowers and branches in bloom, we've been looking around for fun ways to transform some old jars and bottles into lovely vases. These three tutorials were the favorites from our search.

• If you've got fabric and ribbon scraps piling up from past projects, this DIY from 100 Layer Cake is a great way to put them to use and come up with something new and lovely in the process.

Why not invite your mother for brunch for the holiday and send her home with a vase you repurposed yourself, with a bunch of simple farmers' market flowers? Wedding blogs are a great source of inspiration for entertaining in general, and floral design ideas specifically; the two we've mentioned above are a couple of our favorites.
