Whether it's your uncarved Halloween pumpkin that will never see the inside of a pie crust or an acorn squash that was too cute to bake, find a few minutes this weekend or next to construct a compostable feeder for your feathered friends. It's likely it won't last more than a few weeks; so once it goes, toss it in the back of your yard or on your compost pile for easy disposal. Read on for the details of this adorable How To from Honest to Nod. Supplies:
  • Small pumpkin or acorn squash
  • Wooden dowels
  • Bird seed
  • Wire
