Welcome Autumn by Making a Leaf Spirit

Welcome Autumn by Making a Leaf Spirit

In my neck of the woods, summer is definitely over. The wood stove has been crackling away for the past few nights and the maples in the swamps have already turned color. Instead of lamenting the loss of summer, however, I opt to celebrate the cider. What better way to help usher in autumn than with the help of a few Leaf Spirits?

Maureen from Twig and Toadstool wanted to create something that evoked the feeling of Autumn. I'd say she hit the nail on the head with her Leaf Spirits. Bright fall colors and wispy hair topped off with an acorn cap are enough to make the most die-hard beach bum welcome the cooler weather.

Easy to make with basic tools and materials, this crafty activity is a great one to do with your kids, preferably while wearing a cable-knit sweater and sipping mulled cider.
