Hi there and welcome to Apartment Therapy's Weekend Projects! Together we're going to get tons of good stuff done this year: basic cleaning chores, organizing efforts, and small home projects. With each project, you'll be closer to your ultimate goal of having a healthy and happy home that you love and enjoy. We're all here to motivate ourselves to make our spaces better — little by little, week by week — at a natural, low-pressure, and manageable pace. We're happy you're here too!
How Apartment Therapy Weekend Projects work:
If you are new to the program, this is what happens each week. Every Friday, we send a new project assignment to you via email. There is absolutely no pressure to do it! You pick and choose what works best for you and your home, and what you have the energy or time to tackle. It's really just a little bit of structure to help you make your home better, one small effort at a time.
Support Others, and Get Support In Return
Every post will include all the info you need to get the project done by the end of the weekend. But Weekend Projects work best when everyone participates and lets the rest of us know how things are going. While you work, ask questions of others, give help, or just check in and chat in the comment threads. Thoughts or suggestions, requests and tips are welcome at any time!
Share your progress with us and others by posting updates and photos on Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #ATweekendproject. And in turn, others' progress will help you stay on track!
Remember: This is About Improvement, Not Perfection
Each week you can either choose to work on the assignment we've sent you, tackle another project we've posted this year, or work on your own project! It's also completely okay to skip a weekend if you're busy or not feeling the assignment.
