A few months ago when we were in the West Elm Store on the Third Street Promenade, we noticed a bunch of great pendant lamps over the cash register. Of course, we whipped out our camera and started asking a lot of questions. The manager asked us not to take the shot; the lamps weren't West Elm merchandise but he did think West Elm was coming out with a similar lamp soon. Soon has arrived...
The Globe Pendantis just the kind of hanging lamp we like. Simple without being boring, modern yet classic, and generously size at 11", it's the kind of hanging lamp that would do as well hung in a row over a kitchen counter as over a dining room table or in the living room, where we'd hang them in a cluster of three at varying heights. Available in clear or grey.

too funny... I was in that store, and remember thinking these are the best thing in here. I asked if they were for sale, and they said no.
i love 'em
I was just looking at these the other day online.
oh yeah, they're cool :)
Very nice
The look is pretty terrific but aren't you essentially staring at a naked light bulb? A bit harsh, no?
What? No CFL? ~:o)
Yes, you're essentially looking at a naked bulb. It looks cool in a brightly lit store or a super industrial space, but not sure I'd want it in my dining room.
Actually, this one might look better with a CFL.
Great design! I would love to see an Edison style bulb used with this fixture to really make it pop.
