One of the highlights of the show will be local LA artist Karen Kimmel. She was featured on AT:NY earlier this past fall. Several of the pieces she'll be contributing include a collaboration with Angela Archuleta and the Creative Growth Art Center. Creative Growth is an organization that serves physically, mentally, and developmentally disabled adults by providing a stimulating environment for artistic instruction, gallery promotion and personal expression. Karen collaborated with them to produce these amazing hook-latch rug pieces. Check out Karen's website to see the process. They are stunning and it's a definite must see. The show runs from December 3rd-15th at the East and Peggy Phelps Galleries at Claremont Graduate University. Click here for more info.
