... and should you decorate with it? I had fun taking a True Value color quiz over the weekend and discovered that my personality is a "yellow." I read further and found that a sunny yellow would help a home be cheery without overwhelming. But this is assuming that you should decorate in colors that match your personality. Should you?
I wanted if to see if my love of orange in the home coordinated at all with my personality, and I think yellow is close enough. (I don't think I could stand too much yellow in my home, but I get the point about bright colors being good accents. Thank you color quiz.)
However, some cheery people like a fairly neutral space so that they can relax after a day's work, and actually use a neutral palette to calm them down. In college I was more introverted and purple was my favorite color. But I decorated my dorm with a lot of yellow, as I was hoping the yellow would prevent homesickness and keep me upbeat. (It did.)
Which are you? Do you like your space to mirror your personality exactly? Or do you choose colors to complement your personality, and to affect you in a certain way?
