Starting out on my own for the first time, I've known some lean times where I had to make every dollar stretch. We've all been there, pinching pennies whether it is out of sheer necessity or because we set certain goals for ourselves.
The trick I've found to make accounting for every last cent a little more bearable is to allow for a small indulgences. For me it was fresh flowers and a bottle of wine once a week after I cleaned the apartment. It might not sound like much but it was a little reward that made all the difference and set me back around $15.
I'm sure I'm not alone in this, what do you indulge in even when you're scrimping?
