Do you have a secret obsession for vintage educational charts? Katrien Van der Schueren, the owner of Voila! Gallery has been collecting the charts for years and has decided to share her collection by publishing a book of botany and zoology charts from the 19th and 20th centuries. I can't stop staring at all the beautiful pictures and details on each chart. For those who would prefer more pictures than text, you are in luck because The Art of Instruction is a picture book.

I have been showing off the book on my coffee table and can't wait to have guests over and watch them explore page after page of the fascinating collection of educational charts. The book will be officially released October 5th, but can be pre-ordered now on Amazon.com. Early Christmas present? I promise you won't be disappointed.

Wow, the designs are fascinating and beautiful to boot. And they remind me of Anna Bond's work at Rifle Paper Company. I adore her work, and I may just have to get myself a copy of this book when it becomes available.
these are super gorgeous. i love the color schemes - the black back drop makes the colors pop out that much more. LOVE it!
Here is cute reproduction chart similar to the ones featured in the book -
