As an east coast transplant, it has taken a while to get a hold on west coast style.
At first everything seemed so…garish. But then we realized that what we saw as “garish” was just color and size and humor
…three things that we didn’t see a lot of in the New York art scene.
We thought nothing could beat a grey, city skyline but now we the sun set over the ocean every day and that seems just as inspirational. We came to LA wary of the influence Hollywood would have on the city, but in truth, we are grateful for the humor that it brings to an otherwise snooty art scene.
We wonder what other people think differentiates LA in terms of its art?
