Q: I recently missed up the opportunity to buy these vintage leather scoop chairs. I cannot find the name or maker of these. Help! I want to see if I can find them again...

Howard Butcher Bloc...
pgracie, that was just uncalled for.
PGRACIE: If you aren't going to help, makes no sense to post something so derogatory. Just mean.
Not sure if this is true, but some how you can find these be entering the picture into Google. Check w/Google to see if you can actually do this.
Best of luck.
Not sure, but these remind me of Lafer chairs from the 60s.
They look obscene!
There is a way...just tried. You click on the camera icon in Google but you need a URL of the image. The one you sent here doesn't work. If you have the original link, try it and let me know if it works.
Good Luck.
That is one snuggly baby.
Google Image search probably won't work (process explained here: http://www.google.com/insidesearch/features/images/searchbyimage.html). It's designed for well-known landmarks, paintings, etc, not for more obscure stuff like vintage furniture. I tried it last week with a few different flowers and got results that weren't even plants or the same color. Can't hurt to try, but still.
Not exactly the same, but we have two of these Luna chairs and love them!

Good luck!
I have a chair very similar to these. It is the most comfortable chair I've ever sat in. I too have been trying to figure out the orientation. Thanks for all the info.
Try TinEye and do a reverse picture search?
babysingsing that chair is amazing!!
As Cindy44 said, they look most like Lafer chairs, or possibly something by Tobia Scarpa. Google Image search either of those terms and you'll get tons of examples.
Your best bet for a contemporary repro/sure thing is probably the chair BabySingSing linked to!
those either look like (1) inside out nipples, or (2) a cat's a&*-hole.
It's all in the eye of the beholder. Now me, I think those chairs have a very rich and classic look. They look well made and comfortable. Nothing like good leather. If I had seen them and they were at all affordable I would have wanted to buy them too. I hope you find them again!
Wombatwalking...i am sure your comments will get deleted but thanks for the laugh.
I 100% agree with you about those chairs.
