Q: I want to replace those saggy old wispy tab-top curtains shown in this photo. We're not able to replace the face of the gas fireplace at this time (hello '80s!), and yes, that's a basket of toys in the living room, but this is our homey home and we love it. Blocking sunlight isn't a problem: the windows face due east and lead out onto a covered porch so there's actually very little light that comes through. I just want something with a little more "oomph". So... color or no color? Pattern or plain? I'm trying to "tone it down" so I'm leaning towards no pattern. Any other advice or thoughts are appreciated!
