Q: I just moved from NYC to LA, and now I have a lot more space to fill, including an adorable dining room. I found these awesome 70s Danish Dyrlund chairs at a flea market and snapped them up immediately. The problem: I can't seem to figure out a table that would work with them...
I have dark wood floors and wainscoting in the dining room (the walls are buttercream colored, but I'm open to painting!) and, with the dark rosewood of the chairs, it's hard to find something contemporary that I like. Everything is either too heavy or too matchy-matchy. I need a table that seats four and extends to seat six or more, or one that seats six. My taste is modern but not stark, and I'd love something that lightens up the dark wood of the floor and dark wood of the chairs. Suggestions?
