Although you say goodbye to your single life—natch!—coupling up in a new relationship does have it's (home tech) advantages...

Obviously, moving in with your honey means cable bills and electric bills are cut in half. But there's still ways to save some cash in a new relationship, too.

In the case of my new squeeze, each of us was able to save some dough by canceling subscriptions we each paid separately. I was able to cancel my DVR subscription (about $20 a month) and now I ask my beau to tape the VMAs and Top Chef for me. He put his subscription to Netflix on hold (also about $20 a month) and uses my login to put his movies in my queue.

Its a quick way to save some bucks for a couple that's not yet ready to start combining bills. Do you and your new honey do anything to save each other some cash? Tell us in the comments!
