Q: We just bought this brick house (our first house!) and are excited about fixing up the interior with some paint and DIY projects, but we're at a loss for what to do with the unsightly bricked-over window right in the front of the house. It seems like it was bricked over to create a master bathroom and that window would be above the tub.

It's probably not feasible for us to make it back into a window yet — we'd definitely like to do that in the long run, but can't afford a contractor to rip up the bathroom right now. Any suggestions for a short-term solution for making the bricked-over window less of an eyesore? We've considered adding shutters to the other windows and/or painting or whitewashing the brick.
