There's been lots of cleaning and reorganizing leading up to the holidays. We're finally sitting down to look at the few things we didn't giveaway, donate or throw out. One of the spared items is a motley set of breast milk storage bags.
Instead of wasting them, we realized they would be perfect for storing other liquids that you want to freeze. We use ours for storing single servings of chicken soup for the kids. On a cold day, you can just pull a few packs out, defrost and heat. Of course, we went around telling all of our friends about our good idea, only to be told that someone else had already come up with this. Sigh.
Any other ideas for using leftover breast milk storage bags?

Good idea, since they stand up so we. I've also used mine up as regular ziplocs, to transport baby food (cereal, etc), especially since they are sanitized and so better for baby food.
I use them to freeze individual servings of homemade babyfood, I store them flat and they thaw super fast.
HAHAHA! When I first saw that picture, I thought it was actually breastmilk, but a very strange color. Yikes.
Great idea...though since they're so expensive I just put mine away for a future baby. I'll file this away in my head for when we're actually never going to need them again.
Haha! My first thought too...ewwwww, why does their breastmilk look like urine?
I would donate them to another breastfeeding mom. If you don't know one, try freecycle. They're usually very grateful!
I was also intrigued by the breastmilk. I thought perhaps this was what to do with reeeeallly old leftover breastmilk.
But then, I read. Genius! I have tons of these!
I just came up with this idea a couple of days ago - except to store cows milk. My toddler doesn't like to drink milk, but I use it when making oatmeal and other stuff for her. However, the milk will go bad with so little use (we as a family don't drink it either, health reasons)... so i measured out 1 cup amounts and froze them flat. Now I can make her breakfast without wasting milk in the fridge. I like it so much, I'm probably going to buy more just for that use.
