What To Expect When You're Expecting has been the #1 bestselling pregnancy book forever and now it's being made into a movie with a truckload of stars including Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Chris Rock, and Dennis Quaid. Frankly, we're not sure what to expect.
The movie follows four women through their pregancies and another (Jennifer Lopez) as she pursues international adoption. It's odd that this is a comedy based on the pregnancy book that people cautioned me was the scariest of the bunch (despite those warnings I somehow came into possession of three copies). Recent movies about pregnancy like Baby Mama, Knocked Up and Juno have been money in the bank, so we'll see how this one goes. Based on the trailer we can expect to see some of these families go house hunting. The poster above is the most ludicrous of six. See the rest along with the trailer at What To Expect.

Strange to see a largely instructional book somehow made into a movie...with a story line. I don't know how the two could be much related. Will be interesting to see what it really is like.
I just watched the trailer: http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi4184776217/. I must say, that looks ... quality.
As someone who is currently in month 7, I don't think there's going to be any way for them to show realistic levels of sheer misery without making the audience walk out.
Probably will be Skipping this one. Didn't care for the book either, to be honest.
What's with the 50's housewife look for the poster? A string of pearls, really?
I'd probably Redbox it. But mostly just to see the daddy playdate group interactions. Based on the trailer, that's about the only funny part. There are only so many pregnancy jokes you can make in an hour and a half before people stop laughing and start actually getting grossed out.
" But mostly just to see the daddy playdate group interactions"
Ditto. The trailer looked pretty bad, except for the scene with Rob Heubel. Can I just Rebox a compilation of only the scenes that he's in :)?
I was so nauseous during my first pg that to this day, a decade later, I cannot look at the cover of that book without throwing up. Definitely not seeing the movie.
Yes, the trailer looked HORRIBLE. I didn't really find it humorous at all. Jennifer Lopez? Count me out.
Seriously? Hollywood has officially run out of ideas. I thought Battleship was bad, but this is rock bottom.
