If you're currently shopping for laptop, or looking at the available options, you've probably put together a wish list of features that you'd like it to have. It's true that not all laptops are created equal, and that some of them are just better designed than others, but what's the perfect laptop?
1. Hard Drives
Dual SSD hard drives would be what we'd love in a laptop, something that's close to 1TB or 2TB of storage would do nicely. Optical drives aren't necessary in my book, so I'd love to see that slot removed and replaced by an extra HD slot.
2. HD Webcam
Yes, webcams have come a long way, but the ones that are built into laptops aren't always that great. We'd like to see a HD webcam in our next one.
3. High Quality Screen
4. Functional Trackpad
Having an LED display is really necessary these days. It would be great if it's coupled with a discrete graphics processor. None of this integrated stuff that we've been seeing!
While we've yet to find a trackpad that we like, there have been quite a few advances in this field. MacBooks do have nicer trackpads, but we still prefer using a mouse.
5. Backlit Keyboard
Working in the dark can suck if you don't have backlighting on your keyboard. This is true even if you touch-type, because from time to time, you'll check where things are.
