What's an Easier Way to Get Photos From My Phone to the Computer?

Good Tech Questions

Q: After a tumultuous relationship, I said goodbye and swore off using iPhoto, which I previously relied upon for photo transfers from my iPhone to Mac. Is there an easy way I can pick and choose photos to transfer to my laptop without having to crawl back to iPhoto? And wirelessly, if possible?

Editor - You may already know about Bump for iOS and Android, the wireless contact information transferral app. But did you know you can now use the same app for your phone to transfer images from your gallery over to your computer in similar fashion?

Follow the directions below and you can skip using iPhoto for file transfers. Just tap your space bar to drop and drag photos to wherever you like onto your machine afterward (you'll have to have the bu.mp site open when doing so).

The transfer rate is almost instantaneous and lets you avoid having to look for that connector cord. The one option missing is an "upload all" feature, but you can pick as many photos individually for transfer.

Move photos from your phone to your computer with the Bump app.

1. Go to bu.mp on your computer Please allow location in your browser.

2. Open the Bump app on your phone and select the photos you want to transfer.

3. Tap the spacebar on your computer lightly with your phone. The photos will be transfer to your computer.
