People often take for granted the power of color inside the home. Although many of us take great care and pride with choosing "our best colors", it's often overlooked in the home. And perhaps the most in the home office, where we set up our space to "get things done", but don't take in consideration how colors can effect productivity, even happiness.

This inforgraphic packs in a lot of information, but unfortunately for room colors it is too simplified. Blue may help you to be more productive, Yelllow may make you more outgoing, for brainstorming, and creativity. But any shade of blue or yellow will not be a success to influence feeling and performance in a room. A electric or primary blue office will be too stimulating or too chilly. Color psychology is more complex and subtle than this article and infographic suggests. Check out the works of W F Mahnke and Rudolf Mahnke in Color and Light in Manmade Environments.
Please stop binary color-coding of children.
That's interesting, my home office is yellow for no good reason i just liked the color but I feel like I get more stuff done when I'm in there than in my living room which is a greenish color or out side on the deck. Never thought about color influencing mood or production like that. LOL no wonder my stomach never hurts while I'm watching tv, thanks green living room.
Pink is far from calming. This graphic is full of misinformation.
I've been house-hunting, and I'm so sick of red dining rooms that I could cry. And yeah, all it needs is a coat of paint, but in a house with cathedral ceilings, that's quite a chore. And I agree that color-coding our children is a bad practice. The ubiquitous pink for girls is horrifying.
I painted the rooms the colors I wanted. I don't buy in to colors = moods any more than I do astrology.
