When I was about 10, a drunk driver came straight up our front lawn, through our front bay window and exterior wall, and into our living room. Somehow I slept through the whole thing (the driver's injuries were minimal and no one in my home was hurt).
At sleepovers at a friend's house, her mother would clap to wake us up. It always made me jump.
The glass pendant light that fell from our kitchen ceiling recently - well, that woke us up in a hurry too. We're guessing it's all about sleeping more lightly as we get older...
How about you? Tell us some tales of your most alarming wake up calls. Roosters? Ice? Fighting neighbors?
