I'll be the first to admit that when I ran across this Flickr photo I simply had to share it. We're never this cute when we nap as we grow older, but at this age, they'll sleep just about anywhere. What's the craziest place your little one has ever fallen asleep?
My mother tells me stories of falling asleep in the bathtub, hammocks out back, or even in a cardboard box while I was pretending to be our one-eyed cat. No really, my cat only had one eye and was the feline equivalent of a honey badger. Pretending to be him was far cooler than playing with dolls any day of the week.
Where's the strangest place you've found your children napping? Did you happen to photograph the moment? Share your story and a link in the comments below!

I WISH I had a kid that would sleep anywhere! Mine only sleeps in a crib with the lights out.
He did fall asleep recently on our motor boat. Was the weirdest thing ever and I think it was a one-time occurrence.
Wait, kids are supposed to sleep? During the day? SOMEONE INFORM MY 3 YEAR OLD!
My kid who usually doesn't fall asleep easily especially when we are out and about, fell asleep in a grocery cart!

My daughter has fallen asleep in her high chair, on the bathroom floor, laying across a storage ottoman.
But honestly, the weirdest place I ever found her was when she fell asleep in her bed. Shocking, right? It was to me. And I don't think it's happened again . . .
Oh man, we have a whole book of these and I love them: http://www.lifeinmotionphotography.com/photoblog/?cat=571
I WISH my son would sleep anywhere. He fights sleep like his life depended on it. He'll only sleep after 1) boob, 2) white noise, and 3) rocking in the rocking chair. If any of those three things are missing, he will not sleep.
For my son's sake, I will spare sharing the photos of where he fell asleep on the toilet or when he fell asleep buck-nekked (after his bath) clutching his new Valentine's Day mylar heart balloon! LOL! Here is a particularly funny shot. I did not pose him like this. I laughed so hard when I found him this way, took a couple of quick photos & then moved him to save him from a terrible headache later!

My kid falls asleep everywhere. She just runs until she falls over. Often, she jerks herself awake, screaming, "No! No sleeping!"
On the other hand, I wish my kid would sleep like this.
My son won't sleep anywhere but in bed as last night's camp-out proved. However, my friend's little girl keeps falling asleep
on the stairs</A>. Adorable.
Playing at the jumperoo. He was jumping and then fell asleep. http://www.flickr.com/photos/tetecarneiro/3004996059/in/set-72157605468215543
At about a year, my son fell asleep while playing in the sand at a resort. He was on my lap when my husband said "Hey, He's asleep!" we laid him out on a lounge chair and enjoyed a quiet margarita!
Our "time out" spot used to be the stairs to our second floor. The first time I went back to find my 3-year-old lying sound asleep across a single step (about 15 steps from the bottom), I didn't know whether to giggle or panic! She was pretty good at it, though, and never took a tumble.
My mom has a similar picture of my brother, asleep against the couch... and then 30 years later, his son asleep, the same way!
I just came across them, scanned them, and plan to photoshop them together.
the shopping cart and the in a laundry basket
Mhy middle son feel asleep in laundry baskets, grocery carts and once while laying on a large spool of wire.
Certainly the boy's photo gets the laurels, but here I share a picture of my little girl asleep under the table http://www.flickr.com/photos/giozi/4515619098/
Those pictures are so cute! I wish my daughter would sleep anywhere but she's just like me--she can only sleep in her own crib, in her own room, with all the lights out and a fan on. She's been that way since she was a tiny infant.
My brother once fell asleep lying across a kitchen table and chair. I wish I could find that picture. It's the strangest sleep position we've seen. We also have mutiple photos of my other brother sleeping up against a couch like that.
My gal doesn't fall asleep in other places easily, so it was extra hilarious when I left her alone in my room to finish out a tantrum, and came back to find her passed out on the floor with her hand in her favorite plastic jar -- http://flickr.com/gp/nannersp/8dHt00
My youngest has fallen asleep in her booster seat, with her forehead on the table, in a shopping cart, and in her exersaucer in the middle of her 3 year old sister's loud and crazy birthday party (like a foot away from where her sister was unwrapping presents and screaming).
I would be another parent wishing my kid would fall asleep anywhere but the crib and carseat!
my son once fell asleep on the grass at an alan jackson concert. and he was ten!
Our firstborn was a non-napper; the kind of kid who had to be rocked continuously, either in your arms or in the stroller, in order to stay asleep. Bed time has always been a nightmare, even now at the ripe old age of 7 1/2.
However, sometimes she just konks out from pure exhaustion. A few times, we are talking to her and --- plunk, she falls asleep in mid-sentence with no warning. It's pretty hilarious!
We are blessed with three adorable sons who can sleep practically anywhere. Here are some snapshots :

My 3 year old is not a good napper... but would frequently fall asleep in the car on the way home from the grocery store. I rarely was able to move her from the car seat to the recliner (gotta learn to pick those battles) where she normally naps... And yet, more than once, I was able to move her asleep from the car to the shopping cart at Walmart. She would stay asleep laying sideways in the cart, using my purse as a pillow, the entire time. But wouldn't do the same at home. Got lots of laughs at the store and a frustrated mama at home!
The top of the dresser that was attached to her crib. I mean, why sleep on a soft mattress when you can sleep on a slab of cold maple?
the dirty close hamper
during a very bumpy and noisy tuk tuk ride in rush hour in Colombo, Sri Lanka
I sent my son to our diningroom chair for a timeout the other day and when I realized he was WAY too quiet, I found him sound asleep with his torso across the chair, and his head under one arm of the chair and legs hanging off the other end. Did not look comfortable at all, but he slept there for an hour until I woke him up. It certainly explained his behavior though!
Oldest kid while colouring, woke up with a great smelling face ;)
#2 with his upper body hanging out of his bed head on floor legs in bed.
And where do they get it from? I once found their dad sleeping on the toilet with his head on a laundry hamper.
My son will sleep anywhere!

My 3yo son, on his buggy with a melting icecream in his hand. You should have seen other people's faces looking at him (and me!) while I was pushing through the park the buggy with him asleep, in search of the closest bin!
Great stories and pictures; Love them! My daughter has never really fallen asleep in an unusual spot, but we were surprised by the fact that she once fell asleep during one of her movies while I was cooking dinner. Usually if the tv is on, she is up!
We're lucky. Our 11 month old is a fantastic sleeper, but when he needs it - he needs it right then apparently. He has fallen asleep in a grocery cart, in a backpack carrier, in his high chair (once as he was taking a bite), on an ATV with his granddad, on a golf cart with his other granddad, and once while he was climbing up me. We've had tons of laughs about this.
