As anyone who shares a bed knows, there are plus and minuses slumbering besides someone. And since this is Bedroom Month, we thought it would be fun to find out how we all share our beds (if we might dare be so nosy), since sleeping positions are as varied as...ahem...positions of a different, but related, variety.

Those folks in exhibit H might as well get separate headboards, if you know what I mean.
Well, we start out in "F", because I'm always 10 degrees colder and he's the official bed warmer then we morph into "A" because, well, it's just what we do but we always end up in some variation of "H" (usually more leg crossing) and the occasional "D".
I guess in our case, one pose does not fill all.
While we sleep in a close approximation of a combination of "C" and "H", we can only do so because we do not share covers. He is a cocoon, I'm a feet-need-to-feel-free kinda person. Different weights of comforters save us from twin beds.
Begins with F then A then H and eventually D.
A variation of the statement above - one pose does not fit the whole night!
We start out A, then move to C, then end up in H.
We're A, H, F and much to my husband's dismay: E.
My BF always tries to be the girl in these photos! Like in F, which is my favorite sleeping position, but he always tries to lay on me! And that just doesn't work so we usually end up in C H or G.
We're a G. Doesn't look very romantic but we're asleep so it doesn't really matter, does it? Besides, love my husband to death but I am a total grumpy sleeper. Do not bother me - I need my 8!
There ain't no way anybody sleeps like B!
almost always A. awww. :P
WTH @ B & F? Maybe for a total of 5 minutes. I just hate any arm but my own under my neck or head.
J -- as in, snoring man banished to bed in a different room and i'm greedy and want the whole bed to myself. but hoping to learn to share and compromise and be able to actually sleep (need my 8!) in A someday.
yeah - true - there is no way one can have only one pattern - There are variations - we always start as A and might end up as H... :-) agree that B is not possible, you can have that for 3 seconds - but no longer....
We start at A and then, because my husband's normal body temperature hovers somewhere around "core of the sun" we switch to G except facing each other and holding hands. By morning we're usually D with a dog stretched out between us.
we start off with F but end up in G or H because my man's body temperature rises to BOILING! It's too much for me :)
G all the way. Unless you are my child, DO NOT TOUCH ME WHEN I AM SLEEPING. You've been warned, don't come cryin to me if you get hurt.
With kid, the position is closest to F, I guess, but it's really not shown. Generally, kid ends up flopped across my stomach, chest, or head. Pre-kid, I never would have believed I could sleep with another person touching me all night - much less a 30 lb person draped across my face.
E because he's a sleep fighter and tends to avoid hitting me by sleeping on the edge of his side. We usually do start out with A or F.
We start off in A because my fiancee loves to be spooned, then I sneak away into C as he falls asleep and end up in G once I'm asleep. We wake up in D though b/c he moves around a lot.
If the dogs are in bed with us we both cling to whatever space we can get and there's no spooning at all b/c the beagle wants to sleep right in the middle between us. The other dog at least moves to the end of the bed to "guard" us. When its the 2 dogs plus the cat and then the snoring kicks in - I move into the spare bedroom.
H definitely. I usually hang over the cliff while my bulldog stretched across the bed and snores to the point that my bed vibrates! but i forgive him that every morning.
Where's the one of me rolling him over on his stomach so he'll stop snoring?
These people need a bigger bed!
I'm for D with a bed partner no closer than a foot (or he'll get one in whatever happens to be crossing the line). Everybody needs plenty of room to stretch out and I echo mjoe's thoughts on touching while sleeping. When I'm sleeping get out of my space, I'm sleeping, not cuddling. A and the others are enjoyable for resting but impossible for sleeping (for me).
We've run the whole gamut. When we first started dating I was actually able to fall asleep in B a few times--but no more.
Usually it starts with A, moves into H with R.E.M. and then back to A. But it's often sprinkled with one that isn't listed--a modification of B with his head resting on my shoulder/chest.
getting in a good healthy afternoon, in an office by yourself laughing outloud laugh reading your position names, thanks! :)
I swear we do all of them... except E (what is going on there!) and can only maintain B for about an hour. I guess we like variety.
I think we pretty much progress through all of these positions in the course of a night. He is a clingy sleeper and would stay in A, B, or F all the time if I could tolerate it. I am usually trying to achieve G, but the closest I can come is H. We even had an E-but-worse situation once where he encroached so much I fell out of bed. And they say women are the pathological cuddlers...hmph!
What the H#%% is up with B? LOL That is so annoying. We are pretty much everything except for B. There is a such thing as too close for comfort.
H is perfectly nice sometimes. Mostly though if I'm involved in H, I like to snuggle with our backs together. Mmmmm, warm!
start in f, always end in a - either me spooning him, but preferably him spooning me. :)
too much E because our arms fall asleep.
we need that bed with horizontal foam so that our arms aren't crushed.
We usually start with F, then we move into A because my arm and shoulder usually fall asleep, after that we move into H, and then we shuffle back and forth through those positions all night. I love it! =)
we do "B" and "F".<3
