We often give you (obviously amazing) advice about how to make the most out of less-than-ideal features of your home, but I'm in a good mood today, so I've been sitting here thinking about a glorious, unexpected surprise that I got when I moved into my current place. I fall more in love with it every day. What is it?
It's my closet!
You see, I live in New York, a city known for all kinds of apartment oddities. Bathtub in the kitchen? It happens. No closet at all? Pretty common. Floors so sloped you get a workout just walking around your pad? Seen them.
So when I moved into my place from the West Coast — sight unseen — I was pleasantly surprised that everything seemed so, well, ordinary. Then I walked into the bedroom and immediately heard a chorus of angels in my head as I spotted this, the closet of my dreams. It may not look like much to you space-happy dwellers of sprawling cities, but I live on a tiny island so this is the lap of luxury. I treated it to some Elfa and never looked back.
I showed you mine so it's your turn. What happy surprise did you get in a new space?
