A Paris Hotel Offers Inspiration for Tech in Small Spaces

If you're lucky enough to find yourself in the city of romance, may we suggest spending the night at Mama Shelter. The boutique hotel features well planned décor, complimented by some well chosen iMacs. While we know the last thing you want to do while in Paris is sit in front of the computer, seeing how a chic hotel integrates a computer/TV hybrid into its interior can be inspirational. Especially helpful for those who want to put a home office in their home but don't have room for both a living room and office.

Each of Mama Shelter's rooms, which start at €99, or $126/night, is equipped with a 24-inch iMac (or a few) that travelers can use as both a computer and TV screen. The hotel's accommodations are like living showrooms, exhibiting just how one can live in a confined space.

Ideas include placing a desk at the foot of the bed to work a home base for the office and as a TV console when laying in bed, as well mounting the monitor to the wall so it can be worked on from a narrow console table beside the wall or watched from a couch across the room.
