Q: Where can I find this green quilt or one like it? The simplicity of the quilted bedspread is so chic, and that green is such delicious avocado perfection! I could deal with one another color (preferably bold, but monochrome), but the simple quilted pattern is really what I'm in love with, especially because it's all one color. I have zero sewing abilities and I don't even know where to start in searching for this. Please help!

This one is Ikea from about eight years ago. Alas, it seems they don't make it anymore. Unfortunately I can't tell you where to find a similar one. But I have one of those. It doesn't hold up well to washing...
I have one that is very similar that I found at Urban Outfitters. The quilted pattern is a bit different but fairly close to this one. Mine is a turquoise hue on one side and a lime green on the other. I am in love with how soft it is! Can machine wash, but I recommend dry cleaning-will slightly shrink even on a delicate cycle!
Steal one from a cheap motel...
I got an identical one from target a few years ago. Don't know if they still have it, but it's worth a look.
I've seen them at TJ Maxx in different colors in San Francisco.
Here's something with a similar pattern and color: http://www.thecompanystore.com/La-Crosse%C2%AE-Supersize-Primaloft%C2%AE-Deluxe-Blanket-or-Throw/km81-ps-r11,default,pd.html?start=5&cgid=cs-blankets-throws
Check out this duvet on sale for 39.99 from west elm: http://www.westelm.com/products/square-tuck-duvet-shams-s020/?pkey=csale-bedding
You can find one at my grandmother's house... but that's probably not helpful! :)
I bought something very similar, maybe even a bit prettier green (imo) at West Elm about 3 years ago. I believe Pottery Barn now is selling something similar.
have you checked etsy? there are a lot of quilters on etsy that will do custom work and make you exactly what you want, including me :-) www.brandeye.etsy.com
or you may be able to find something already made that may be close to what you are looking for. use the search box on www.etsy.com
I found one at Brylane.com ... not an avocado but a dark limey green as well as some other colors. Not at all expensive!
These are called wholecloth quilts. Kohls has several in their Apt. 9 collection that are in this green family.

In 1976. My parents had this when I was a kid. Yikes!
yikes..there are a lot of pretty quilts out there....=(
My husband and I have a quilt almost just like that! We got it from Kohls - here's the link http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/bedroom/bedding/coverlets/PRD~c18245/Apt+9+Thyme+Quilted+Coverlet.jsp
Crate and Barrel - about three years ago. I have it. The flip side is a darker green. Comes with two duvets with light green/dark green sides.
I think this is the one @chestymcbigboobs (hee.) is referring to: http://www.crateandbarrel.com/bed-and-bath/all-decorative-bedding/plaza-peridot-bed-linens/f43147
Garnet Hill has a quilt like that called the Dream Quilt. I have it in birch and I love it. It's light-weight but looks crisp on the bed, and it's good for layering with something heavier in colder months. I can even throw it in the washer and dryer, still looks new after several washings.
You can find great vintage 70s bedspreads on eBay. They're usually inexpensive because most people have duvets now instead. But you're right that bedspreads look more MCM.
Target carries a reversible whole-cloth quilt. The quilting is in rows of ovals. I have it in bright green reversing to darker green. It's matte, not shiny like the picture above, and lightweight, so more suitable for summer.
Any thrift store in the midwest. Ditto on the cheap motels.
this looks exactly like that but isnt a quilt.... pretty cheap too. no one would see the brown underside unless you folded it over

Have you looked anywhere yourself?
They are everywhere.
ikea had those a few years ago. i don't know if they still do.
I got one last year from Sferra 1891, the color/quilt is called gimlet. I see it available on ebay for a very high price. I got mine off of gilt or OKL for about a third of what they are going for on ebay.
I have Euro shams that look exactly like that quilt. I bought them from Crate & Barrel a couple of years ago.
The Target version others have mentioned would be my pick. I have it in gray and I love it.

My parents had a gold bedspread just like that one in the late 70's. I guess everything comes back around...
Amy Butler makes one that is two sided, its slightly more yellow but might work for you

I'm shocked at how things come back around, I hated my parents living room furniture, now I'd kill to have it! It was considered Danish Modern at the time.
For the bedspread, sounds like a lot of great source options have been mentioned, I'll just plug the DIY route. That you can get a wide-width fabric in a natural material (cotton, linen, silk) - dye it a custom color in your washing machine (I recommend Procion fiber reactive dyes because they bond with the fiber and don't impact your washing machine) - and have someone "quilt" the design you prefer on it. I can't resist, since I make textile art, that is so not a quilt in my book - not even a whole cloth quilt - it's a bedspread dangit.
Check out Sierra Trading Post online. They have one that is by Company C. It's called Shimmer Quilt. It's in a pretty moss green color, and it's a different patten, but all the same color. If you type in Company C Shimmer Quilt in the Search bar, you should be directed to it right away.
There are also matching pillow shams for the Company C Shimmer Quilt at Sierra Trading Post. Hope you can find something that you like from all the comments that have been posted.
Ditto LSUgrad03 and thorndale -- this is very retro and will probably show up on ebay.
As nearly as I can tell, there is one exactly like it in the Brylane Home catalog I just received. Check at brylanehome.com
