Where Can I Find Orange Storage Cubes?

Q: I have searched near, far, and everywhere in between for these orange lacquer cubes that I stumbled upon while going through the house tours archive. Extensive word play on search engines and AT's own archives have been futile. I ravenously crave these and any help on where to find them, or something similar, would be appreciated.

Editor: They look similar in shape (but not necessarily in color) to ones that we remember seeing at West Elm at one point but that was quite a while ago. Can anyone share any sources or leads with Lisa? Let us know in the comments below - thanks!

or you could find white/unfinished cubes and paint them yourself.
that way you would have more control over the specific color you're searching for.

I was looking for similar a few weeks ago and found some on ebay. They are not the same color but, you could always spray paint them. I searched for shelf & cube.

Might be similar to what you are looking for.

They look like someone bought nesting cubes and took the largest ones and stacked them on top of each other.

West Elm used to sell them in brown. As everyone else said they could be spraypainted.

I'm pretty sure those are Metro Cubes by Boom. They're pretty widely available in white and wood tones but I had some trouble finding them in orange. Only place I could find is here:

and its not in English. They're on the pricey side to buy and paint.

I think these things are tacky and available at many common houseware and decor retailers, then you'd paint it orange and make it less tacky because they'd have an individuality to them.

I'm not the owner, but I know that these were purchased at the Design Within Reach big warehouse sale in a Chicago suburb a few years ago. I don't know if the stores still carry this particular item.
