Q: I know lounge chairs are popular for a reason. However, sometimes I don't want to be wedged in by a seat that slopes back, or have my chin practically to my chest because the back leans. Sometimes I want to sit up while still using the backrest, with my feet fully on the floor and my knees level with my hips.
Please help me find an affordable chair that has a small/medium-sized footprint, an upright back, level seat, not as tall as a dining room chair, not too low, and not too deep. Preferably not Ikea, is cushioned, and has arms. Attached is a photo of two chairs as an example that fits my needs.
The Eames moulded plastic chair is an example of one that doesn't work. It doesn't have a level seat (it curves up at the sides) and the back leans far enough to discourage sitting upright.
I realize I'm being very specific, but I need help finding my way past all the lounging chairs!
