Skateboards are super awesome until the weather no longer allows your kids to put them to good use. They end up getting in the way and being a slight safety hazard indoors, so why not turn them into illuminated artwork in the off season?

For most kids, if they learn to ride a skateboard when they're younger, they'll probably continue riding for many years to come. So when it comes to this skateboard rack meets light fixture, we're considering this purchase an investment and a safety measure (slipping on a skateboard in the dark is so uncool), all rolled into one.

You can find it at Pottery Barn Teen for $79 and although that might seem a bit steep at first glance, there aren't many options out there for skateboard storage, let alone one that turns them into a display piece. For years we've contemplated many different ways to hang the ones in our own home and have had little luck!
