Q: For over a year I've been hunting about for wallpaper that looks like, or resembles very closely, wallpaper that was hanging in part of the 2011 Alexander McQueen exhibit at MoMa, Savage Beauty. It's dreamy, ethereal, beautiful and also edgy — in other words, very McQueen. Might anyone in the Apartment Therapy community have a good suggestion?

Shaw's Original Fir...
Not sure, but I'm sure someone at MOMA would know, at least, whether MOMA supplied it for the exhibit or it was McQueen's exhibit designers.
This exhibit was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, not at the Museum of Modern Art. If I'm not mistaken, it was printed for the exhibit from his drawings.
Yes, it was at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and I too think it was made for the exhibition. Don't send the photo to the exhibition designers though unless you want a big slap on the wrist. The taking of photos was strictly prohibited and heavily enforced. I saw them making people erase photos.
Why not try Timorous Beasties, they have some great wallpaper.

You should check out GrowHouseGrow.
They have crazy-amazing woodcut-influenced by way of Audrey Beardsley sort of aesthetic that definitely vibes really well with both the sample you posted and the general McQ aesthetic.
This is different, but edgy and maybe worth a look:
