Q: I stumbled upon these fantastic pixar-like, Edison style chandeliers at a coffee shop and instantly fell in love. Unfortunately, no one knew where I could source one of these. I was hoping that maybe the readers of Apartment Therapy have seen these somewhere. I'd love to hang one over my dining room table.

Not sure but for further exploration and inspiration (DIY?!?!) check out Rucola in Brooklyn if you're around that area. I was recently super pumped about a Mason jar/Edison bulb setup that kept my mind spinning! In fact, thanks for reminding me :)
This Etsy one looks very similar!

oddly enough, anthropologie has this exact one and not at a completely ridiculous price!

Yup, that's the Roost Halo chandelier. You can find it on Anthropologie's website. It used to be available through Velocity Art and Design, but sadly, they are no longer :(
Did you ask the owner? He/she has the say of how this was pulled together.
I bet this guy could build one for you:

Conant Metal & Lighting (in Burlington, VT) makes these & they are amazing. Their inventory changes frequently, but they can make you exactly what you want. They use old items & then make new lights out of them (using glass insulators, canning jars, rail road items, even a drum). We are saving up for a glass insulator dining room chandelier.

that coffee shop is gorgeous! what is is called and where is it?
These guys make these all day long - http://www.tomorrowsantiques.com
They have an etsy store too - http://www.etsy.com/shop/tmorrowsantiques
Give em a call for a quote. Shoot them some pics of what you want. They are really easy to work with!
Oooooo, I like it too! Maybe you could make something similar out of a black-painted bicycle rim & misc. lighting hardware.
I purchased this light from Anthropologie a couple of years ago - it is beautiful but it was horrible to install - the screws that came with it didn't actually fit the fixture and we had to do some tinkering to get things to fit properly (for the price that you pay for it, which I believe was $300, it should be higher quality). I would recommend looking around for something that looks similar but is made by a different manufacturer. And just a note - it wasn't just us that had this difficulty, afterwards I read the customer reviews of the product online and many people had the same troubles.
