Q: I have been studying abroad and recently moved back to my home, where I have a small bedroom with a miserably small window and very little lighting. My pink girly wallpaper is falling off and it doesn't suit my personality, so my mom agreed to let me paint my walls.
I wish I could paint my walls white to make it look bigger, but I know that getting more light is an issue with my bedroom. So I researched online and read that with a dim bedroom, it might worth painting the walls with dark colors with a jewel tone. I have finalized my choice of color into dark green, charcoal and black... and I am now stuck. I hope Apartment Therapy can help me with choosing which color(s) to paint my walls. I'll also have to buy new furniture for my bedroom so for now I only need to worry about the walls. I'd like my bedroom to be chic but a little rustic at the same time. Below is the type of green color I'd like to paint my bedroom. Any advice on specific paint colors?
