White China

Last week we posted on furniture that lasts. This week, we're posting our pick for tabletop pieces that last. Our vote goes for plain white or ivory china. (This image is from Martha Stewart's kitchen.) Click below to see why we love it.

White china is classic without being overdone. It's simple but elegant, and as you change your dining room decor over the years, it will continue to go with everything. It can be a little boring at times, but all you need to make it pop is a patterned tablecloth or a colored charger. It also looks great stacked on open shelving.
