Owned by the same couple who opened the nearby and hot-right-now eatery Outerlands, the surf shack oozes laid-back California charm. It was fun to see how the two couples (both artist-architect pairs, strangely enough) added their own personal touches to the place, leaving this SF girl with rental envy. How neat! I often wonder how the people before or after me decorated places I've lived. Both of the couples are adorable and the place seems to match!
I wish every rental had this or at least our new place. How great would it be to see how former tenants dealt with less than desirable functionalities.

Thanks for sharing this! I love thinking about those who came before. (Sometimes thinking of those who will come after makes me cringe thinkging about what they'll do to "my" space!)
Such a lovely little cottage. Outer Sunset is really becoming one of the "hip" neighborhoods in the city. Love everything about it minus the fog.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not impressed with either...
