Q: I've been looking for a new dining table for a while now, and there's something in the language that perplexes me. Why is it so often called a dining ROOM table? Isn't it just a dining table? If not, what's the difference? Thanks! -Sent by No Room At This Table
Editor: Ooh, I love this kind of question! Please share your smarty-pants answers, as well as any other odd home-related terminology issues you've noticed over the years. For example, one of my best friends grew up only a few miles away from where I did, and everyone she knew referred to what I would call the living room as the "front room," pronounced "frunchroom"!
