Wii Fit to Offer Medical Advice

No one likes going to the doctors. From the long waits, the expensive insurance, and the fear that the burning sensation you feel when you pee really is what you think it is, why does anyone ever make an appointment? But what if you could get medical help via your Wii?

Nintendo is planning on launching the Wii Check Up channel this April...

The service is a collaboration between among Hitachi, NEC, Panasonic, and a health insurance company. Check Up will provide a two-way communication between gamers and medical professionals who will provide guidance on health related questions. If you choose to participate your personal data is forwarded to a health professional, who will then give you advice on improving your body mass index and how to keep fit.
