Q: NYC apartment with galley kitchen that opens up into dining area with lots of window light. Putting in Kraftmaid mission style cabinets, quarter sawn oak and honeyed dark oak finish. Carerra marble counters going in this week. Last thing to note is that we were planning on white wood blinds that start 1 foot away from counters and blacksplash and run for 17 feet.
Our concern is that our planned (not yet purchased) old fashioned subway tile (white) will be too much contrast between white/grey streaked counter and the white blinds.
We do love the Mission style and Arts and crafts style. Wuld like to keep it all in one style so that our small apartment doesnt look all jumbled up.
PS: floors are light oak strips.
