We know this seems a bit early, but we wanted our readers to mark their calendars early and RSVP for an event worth making it over to the posh streets of Beverly Hills. Our good friends at Design Within Reach in Beverly Hills wanted ATLA readers to know about an upcoming retrospective of Charles Hollis Jones' pioneering work in acrylic furniture and accessories.

On July 19th, the first 150 guests attending will receive a free "100 Chairs" poster, a visual collection of chairs designed by Charles Hollis Jones. And if that wasn't incentive enough (alongside free refreshments): one lucky guest will take home a Sling Chair, a chair featured in the James Bond flick, Diamonds Are Forever!

For more than 45 years, Jones has explored the possibilities of acrylic, and in so doing, has transformed a material once seen as a mere novelty into the epitome of cool, sophisticated luxury. His vast body of work includes everything from table lighters to four-poster beds and custom acrylic staircases. This event will feature nearly 25 of Jones' best designs.
