I didn't even know such a thing existed! This would simplify my toys and my life........
perfect for me!
I would love to win this!
great gift for my brother who has everything!
Very useful for my home.
YES YES YES!!!
I've been using the older version of the Belkin Powerline products for years. They are perfect for a house that is too large or has to many walls for traditional wi-fi. I have one of these in every room. In busier rooms, I pair it with a wi-fi access point so distant rooms all have their own local wi-fi with a great connection.
I've been waiting for the gigabit version to come out so I can upgrade.
I need one of these.
Boy howdy...we could really use this at my house. Terrific idea...why am I the last to know about these things?!
Wow! Would love to try this.
i'm not entirely sure what this is, but would love to give it to my gadget friend for christmas....
totally geeky luv it
Great husband gift!
Fast and fine!
This sounds really cool, but I'm not sure I understand how it works...can anyone please explain it to me?
Hcube-- I'm the PR Mgr at Belkin. Here's how the Gigabit Powerline Adapters work: Essentially, you'd use it to connect your computer to the Internet. So, plug one Adapter between the wall outlet and your Router. Then plug the 2nd Adapter between your computer (or Xbox or TV, if your TV has an Ethernet port) and a wall outlet. This way you can now get internet access on your computer (Xbox or TV).
It's good for areas in homes where WiFi is hard to reach; Powerline technology is NOT wireless b/c it connects using the electrical lines in your home. It's technically "wired," and it means that the connection is more reliable (should be no glitches or latency).
These Adapters run at Gigabit speeds, which means it's ultrafast. So you should be able to stream HD videos (from Youtube or hulu or wherever) over the internet to your TV w/o any hiccups.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have other questions.
Happy Holidays! Thank you for a chance to win. I like your description. Thank you also for taking the time to post it. Your device sounds pretty cool. I, like the rest of these fine people, would like to see it in action... in my home. :)
