Help Us Give Back!
This year, Apartment Therapy is celebrating the spirit of giving by partnering with DonorsChoose.org for our 2011 Holiday Giveaway. Just as we're giving away something to you, you can give something back by helping us fund classroom projects around the country. Our goal is to get 500 people to donate to public school classrooms by December 16th!
AS AN AWESOME BONUS: If you give $25 or more, you'll be entered into a drawing to win a House Tour feature on Apartment Therapy—your home, your style, photographed by us and shared with our readers. Not into sharing your home? You can also gift that feature to a very worthy friend or relative! 'Tis the season for giving, after all.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Oh please, please, please! If I ever win anything, I'd like it to be this.
$250 for a one gallon bin?
$250 for a trash can?! This is even worse than the !10 felt bowls. Yeah, I entered to win it anyways.
$250 for a 1 gallon trash can? Say what you will but if this "Vipp" outfit is pulling a profit they are a smart group of "business-people".
I need to rethink my own business strategy, maybe move more toward fairly well made but thoroughly plain semi-useful things marketed directly at rich people who've nothing better to do with their money than spend $250 on a bin that will hold approximately 2 wadded up tissues and a handful of Q-tips.
Because really they're the only people with money to spend nowadays anyway.
For $250, it better turn into R2-D2.
My brother has one, and they are of a much higher quality than similar items you might find at Walmart or Target. That said, I would never pay $250 for an item like this. I hope I win it!
my husband would swoon over this!
Having had several bins that have broken and now the proud owner of a Vipp I can say the quality is so much better than any other bins on the market. Had it for two years and it is like new. My brother has one and has had it for more than 5, still like new. Long term perhaps not such a bad investment. Looks great of course (yup I get excited about a bin)
Though I couldn't possibly spend the money on it, it is lovely and I wouldn't say no to it if I won.
My puppy likes to eat tissue, so this would be great for me!
This will go so well in my kitchen!
this is fantastic. it would keep my pups from rooting around in the trash!
please. i have wanted one for so long. i just couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money on a garbage pail. even a very well made, last-me-forever, pretty one.
Great design and could easily fit in so many spaces.
definitely the kind of thing I would NEVER let myself buy, but would love to win!
Simple, clean, and efficient. Ties form to function well.
I would love to win this, it would go perfedt in the little spot in my kitchen.
I LOVE These bins, but wish they weren't so expensive. They're so classic and stylish. Fingers crossed!
I know people are aghast at the price of these, but I have had my Vipp bin for 6 years now and it is fabulous. I had one issue with a rivet on the handle of the inner bin and the president of the company immediately emailed me back to send an entire new one, no questions asked. The outer bin still looks brand new, no chips or dings at all. Yes, it's expensive but you only need to buy it once and it will last a lifetime.
perfect for the bathroom and keeping the cats out of the trash!
sooo much nicer that my $10 bin from target!!
Yes please...we need a new trash can terribly bad. Our old one is too small and with a baby on the way I'm afraid our trash is going to increase or at least I won't be able to take it out as often, but no worries we will reuse our old one for sure.
Loves it!
I want this Vipp so badly, but I have never won anything in my life... so who ever wins...enjoy!
Fabulous piece!
yes..I'd never buy this....but I'd love to win it
Its very classy
